What happens during an adjustment?

During the adjustment, the chiropractor will locate a specific vertebrae that has an abnormal movement pattern or fails to function normally. The “popping” sound you hear during the adjustment is an audible release of air, which is caused by the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. This releases the pressure on the joint.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

An adjustment can result in an increased range of motion, reduced nerve irritability, improved function, and decreased pain. When an adjustment is performed by the chiropractor it results in an increase of joint motion from the previous restricted joint.
